Color of the Season

Thanksgiving 5Thanksgiving 1Thanksgiving 2Thanksgiving 4

I think it’s safe to say that mustard is the color for fall this year. It is everywhere and worn by everyone. Not to mention, mustard is a great color for all skin tones. If you stick to neutral tones in your wardrobe like me, this is a perfect way to introduce more color. Mustard is a muted yellow, so it is not as scary to wear like yellow is. I wore my favorite tan booties with this look because I felt it complemented the mustard well. This look was worn on Thanksgiving, so I wanted to make sure I wore a comfy pair of jeans, versus a pair of high waisted ones like I always so. These boyfriend jeans were stretchy and loose fitting, yet they still showed some of my shape. I love how they have the cut off distressed look at the bottom, yet everything else about them is clean. They also have a dark blue stripe going down the side along the side seam- another current trend this fall. The wash on the jeans with the mustard turtleneck were the perfect combo! I did my best not to wear any black and it paid off in the end. This was the first step of many in me wearing bolder colors.
